O’Brien, Cathleen
Cathy finds that art is a place to escape to where words are not necessary, and that is a comfortable place for her. She looks for something unique in her approach to painting; it can be anything from the play of light on form to a fleeting expression on a passerby’s face. Her most recent watercolour and oil paintings reflect her travels and some of the intriguing landscapes and people she encountered. From those moments she paints her reflections. Cathy enjoys the observer’s contemplations and appreciates any emotional response to her work.
