Hollington, Sandra

Local artist born and raised, Sandra has lived and worked for most of her life in Ottawa and the surrounding areas.  After graduating from nursing school, Sandra went on to complete a B.A. in Psychology and Theology and obtained a designation as a Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP).  In short, Sandra has spent her life helping others overcome physical and mental trauma in order to find peace and healing in their lives. 

Sandra studied art at the Ottawa School of Art and the City of Ottawa’s Visual Art Centre for approximately 12 years, plus attending portrait workshops by Sarah Marie Lacy, in Ottawa, Ontario.  In 2016, Sandra decided to pursue her retirement dream to travel and paint to her hearts delight!

Sandra paints in oils and acrylics, and, while she enjoys painting still life, landscapes, scenes and live events (weddings, graduations, etc.), her preference is to paint portraits, especially of children.  She strives to capture those unforgettable moments, the beauty in a landscape, or the unique personality and spirit of subjects in a portrait.
