Thompson, Jean

Jean, a transplanted Maritimer, lived in New Brunswick until her move to Ottawa in Fall, 2007. She currently specializes in painting landscapes and florals in watercolour, acrylic and oil. Having spent most of her life living beside the Bay of Fundy, she has a particular fondness for the ever-changing moods of water – as well as its sheer power. Jean enjoys experimenting with various washes and colour combinations to achieve an effect which is as close as possible to what nature created. Jean’s paintings hang in collections across Canada as well as in the US, Bermuda and New Zealand.
