Nepean Collection

For several years the Artists of Stonebridge have benefited from the support of The Honourable Chandra Arya, MP.  Mr. Arya has provided exhibition space on the walls of both his Parliamentary and Constituency offices. Earlier this year he offered to include twelve of the group’s paintings in his 2019 calendar. These works are paintings of architectural features or landscapes within Mr. Arya’s riding of Nepean.

Fifteen artists accepted the project with enthusiasm and the result is a sampling of Nepean’s landscapes, architecture, community spaces and more, as interpreted by the Artists of Stonebridge. The twelve works selected for the calendar, along with images of the other submissions, were exhibited as The Nepean Collection at the “Paint the Town” Art Show & Sale in November.

In addition to its unveiling at “Paint the Town,” The Nepean Collection will also be on exhibit at the Minto Recreation Complex on Cambrian Road from December 5, 2018 to February 6, 2019. The collection will then move to the Barrhaven Vietnamese Restaurant on Strandherd Drive and eventually to Mr. Arya’s Constituency Office.

The Artists of Stonebridge extend a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to Mr. Arya for providing this opportunity to showcase their art.
