Butterfield, Bob
I was lucky to have been born into an artistic family. Drawing and painting were just things people did. Art was a skill that you were expected to pick up along the way, like reading and writing.
When I was very young, my grandfather bought me a set of watercolour paints. And now, as a grandfather myself, I am still exploring watercolour almost exclusively and haven’t even scratched the surface of all it can do.
To me, creating art is a matter of problem solving. I might spend a week or more working out how to paint something before I even get a brush wet. Sometimes it works and I’m happy to share some of the results with you here.
