Chantel Tombin was born in Kamloops, British Columbia and raised in Toronto until her teenage years when she moved to Ottawa. She studied environmental studies at Carleton University. Chantel uses multiple types of media for her art, including acrylic, watercolor and a variety of crafting. She has lived in Barrhaven with her husband for the past nine years, raising their three children. She is passionate about animals and nature, and takes this as her inspiration for her artwork. Chantel draws particular inspiration from the beautiful walking trails around Stonebridge, where she enjoys spending long walks with her dog. The seasons also provide a deep inspiration for Chantel’s artwork and the diversity experienced from the changing seasons provides a rich and exciting variety of ideas for a blank canvas.
